With PACCE, Everyone Wins!

The patient: The entire PACCE Program is designed to benefit the patient. The patient is treated as an individual with a unique set of concerns that need addressing. The patient’s healing process can begin before the surgery. Surgical and rehabilitation outcomes are greatly improved when the patient knows what is going to happen and feels more optimistic.

The physician: No longer do all amputees need to be referred to rehab facilities, thereby enabling the physician to maintain a professional relationship with his/her patient and monitor their progress more easily. The PACCE team can serve in many capacities regarding your patient’s rehabilitation. Continuity of care is extremely beneficial to both physician and patient.

The insurance companies: As stated, 60%-70% of all patients can return home from the acute-care facility and do not need to be referred to subacute-care facilities in inpatient rehab hospitals if qualified post-surgical care can be arranged as an outpatient. The PACCE Program can provide the opportunity for patients to return to their homes, relieving the payer of the expensive burden of reimbursing for in-patient care.
